Dancer – Choreographer – Teacher

My name is Faye, I’m passionate about Dance and how it can bring joy and energy to others through storytelling performances, creating and teaching where I can share my knowledge and experience.

Dance, a universal and most honest language.

This is my way to communicate the love and joy for life,
as well as the sadness and pain which life brings.

Latin and Ballroom became my major passion through which i discovered my personal voice.

Music, theatre, art and various dance styles through the eras
inspire me while developing my own dance language.

Biography

Faye Huddleston
Born and raised in Manchester, Faye started ballroom dancing at the age of three. Her love of dancing led to competing as an amateur dancer until the age of sixteen.

With encouragement from her teachers and drawing inspiration from top professionals, her dancing grew from strength to strength. Eventually she packed her bags and headed for the bright lights of London, quickly turning her passion into a profession, and establishing herself as a top Latin &
Ballroom dancer.

At only 16, she featured in her first international tour ´Simply Ballroom´ touring across the UK and USA and performing on the world-renowned Fremont Street Las Vegas alongside film star Debbie Reynolds.

By 2008, aged 18, Faye made her West End debut performing in ´Cheek to Cheek´ at the London Coliseum. Shortly after she also danced at The Peacock theatre under Raymond Gubbay in the show ´Latin Fever´.

Within 1 year she was invited to join the hit show ´Burn The Floor’ in 2009, produced by Harley Medcalf and created in 1997 after success at Elton John’s 50th birthday party. Inspired by the World class dancers Jason Gilkison and Peta Roby partnered in the original cast; well- known as the legends of the ballroom world, Jason is currently the creative director for the hit TV show Strictly Come Dancing and Peta continues to drive Burn The Floor that is still one of the most elite Latin and ballroom shows to date.

Faye’s first performance for ‘Burn the Floor’ was staged at the Jupiter’s Casino, Gold coast alongside Strictly Come Dancing star Aljaž Skorjanec who became her dance partner for subsequent tours across Australia, USA, Japan, South Africa, Asia, Europe and a feature show at the West End’s famous Shaftesbury Theatre. Faye continues to be a leading part of the cast after 10 years and has recently been promoted to the role of Dance Captain on the NCL Cruises.

In 2014 Faye was given the incredible opportunity to be the Leading Lady partnering Strictly Come Dancing professional Anton Du Beke in his touring show ‘Ballroom to Broadway’. Following its great success, she was invited once again to play the Leading Lady and Assistant Choreographer; this time for Brendan Cole’s show ‘All Night Long’ which concluded in a special performance for
Dancing in the Stars Ireland.

Throughout her illustrious career, Faye has been invited to appear on many international TV shows including ‘This Morning – GMTV’ in the UK, ‘Dancing with The Stars’ Australia and Ireland and the annual ‘Telethon’ hosted by Jerry Lee Lewis in the USA. In addition, she danced for the Queen at the maiden voyage of the DMS Queen Mary 2 cruiseliner from Southampton.

Most recently Faye starred in Rip it Up – The 60s’ at the Garrick Theatre in the West End where she partnered up with several Strictly Come Dancing celebrities including Harry Judd, Louis Smith
and Jay McGuinness.

Alonside touring, Faye currently offers demonstrations as well as teaching a range of ballroom styles including group workshops, 1on1 tuition, Wedding dances and online classes.

As her career has blossomed so has her involvement and support of charities such as Henshaws and NSPCC.

Faye loves challenging herself with new projects that utilise her creative talents.

In Faye’s own words:

“I have had the most amazing career so far and feel extremely thankful to have travelled and performed all over the world. The opportunity to work alongside some of the best people in the industry and have built lifetime relationships, is something I will always treasure. In saying this it’s not always a straight road or the glitzy and glamorous career that some may think. Most people
just see the polished final product but behind the scenes is another story – you truly have to
commit, to work intensely at the highest level, day-in day-out. Along my journey, there has
certainly been blood, sweat and tears but it is through the pain where we grow and I wouldn’t change it for the world.

I would now love to share this passion, experience and knowledge as i believe it is important to inspire others. Dancing is for everyone and it is a wonderful therapy for the mind and body.”
